School Kit Drive, an initiative by Youth for Seva to ensure that every child attends school with dignity. Objective To encourage every child to take first step towards school. The Need 40% of India’s population is below 18 years (children), Less than half of the children go to school. And only 1/3 reach to Grade 8, Children dropping out of schools are a common sight. Children drop out of schools owing to limited financial means, lack of access to school materials & parents’ indifference towards education Program Goal In an attempt to combat this challenge, YFS initiated the School Kit Sponsorship, a program designed to ensure that basic school supplies reach even the remotest parts of a few states across India. With contributions from donors, we enable children to attend the school. | Reach out 2020-21 Last year around 61,103 children benefitted by this program. School authorities have noted an increase in student enrolment and we hope to maintain that momentum. This year we are planning to reach 75000+ Kits About Youth for Seva Youth for Seva (YFS) started in April 2007 as a platform to provide opportunities for youth who wanted to take active part in community development despite time constraints. Through this platform, YFS aims to empower youth to become positive change makers who will enable organizations and institutions to work without a vested interest. The goal of YFS is to support schools, NGOs, government hospitals and other organizations in the social sector through volunteer We would greatly appreciate donations towards single or multiple kits you make. We will also provide 80G receipt for the donations received. |
