Overview

Our Mysuru chapter conducts various activities across the city. The chapter began its functioning in the year 2013. Ever since we have worked with corporations and other organizations to enable greater social impact and to mobilize volunteers for social good.

Currently, we have more than 2000 volunteers who are actively striving to improve society. The Mysore City Corporation, Rotary Brindavan, Lions West Mysore, Arnold Fitness, and Narayana Hospital are among the organizations with which the YFS Mysore Chapter is actively involved.

NMMS

NMMS is a central government scheme and examination that offers a scholarship to underprivileged students. Our volunteers work throughout the year to help percolate this scheme across various areas.

Vidya Chethana

Vidya Chethana is our scholarship program for children from underserved sections of society. The program helps students with their educational expenses and helps them focus on their studies.

Chiguru

Chiguru is a talent showcase event involving children from government schools and informal educational spaces. It is a program that takes more than a month’s preparation and culminates in a grand celebration of the diverse talents that the children possess.

School Kit Drive

School kit drives are a program that looks to distribute learning essentials to as many government school students as possible. The goal is to reduce dropout rates by providing access to basic educational materials.

Seva Sambhrama is an annual event organized by us. It is a celebration of the impact achieved through the help of corporate organizations. Through it, we reflect on the transformative power of volunteering and the significant contributions of corporate organizations toward social welfare.
