Overview

Our Hyderabad chapter conducts various activities across the city of Hyderabad. The chapter began with the efforts of Shobhit Mathur in 2010. Since then, we have worked with corporate organizations and other non-profit organizations to enable greater social impact. We are present in the fields of volunteering, educational programs, healthcare programs, and rural development programs.

We have many dedicated and purpose-driven individuals who work throughout the year to help percolate this scheme at the grassroots level. We also have volunteers from across the country who train teachers and students for this scholarship-qualifying exam.

Abhyasikas

Abhyasikas are YFS' initiatives to support students requiring additional assistance. These free tuition centers are designed to help children from challenging home environments concentrate on their studies and build a better future.

Chiguru

Chiguru, meaning "to sprout," is an event that involves month-long preparations culminating in a single day of talent showcases by children. It features students from government schools and non-formal educational institutions.

Youth for Seva is committed to protecting and restoring these water bodies to preserve their unique biodiversity. Our environmental team takes all necessary steps to ensure the clean-up drives are carried out effectively.

We organize Seva Sammelanam as an annual event. It is a celebration of the incredible journey and impact achieved through collaboration between corporates and volunteering. Seva Sammelanam 2024

We are thrilled to share that yesterday's Seva Sammelanam at Sanga Mitra School, Hyderabad, was a resounding success!

The day was filled with vibrant cultural activities by our dedicated volunteers, who put on a spectacular show. We were also honored to have esteemed guest speakers, Raka Sudhakar Ji, Vishwanath Ji, and Venkat Ji, who delivered inspiring speeches on volunteer development.

The key highlight of the event was the distribution of appreciation certificates. We recognized our incredible volunteers - Seva Mitras, Seva Saadhaks, Seva Preraks, and Seva Saathis - for their selfless service. Their hard work and dedication are truly commendable!

The atmosphere was filled with joy and appreciation as volunteers were recognized for their invaluable contributions. It was a beautiful day celebrating the spirit of Seva (service).

Total 237 volunteers participated.

Update from YFS Hyd Chapter,

We are thrilled to announce the resounding success of the CHIGIRU 2024 event hosted by Youth for Seva Hyderabad chapter. With over 120+ government schools, 400 + From Abyasikas 3200+ students, and 1000+ volunteers participating, the day was filled with cultural, sports, and academic events.

Government school students showcased their inherent talents in various fields like sports and Games, cultural and arts making Science Experiments, Rangoli ,The event a celebration of creativity and skill. The full-day event took place at CMR College, Hyderabad and included a grand lunch, "Pankthi Bojanam," attended by 2500+ students simultaneously.
