Overview 

YFS MEERUT chapter started in 2017 with just few volunteers. It was our learning year and we understood the demographics. In 2018, we got a full timer and started this beautiful journey with more motivation and enthusiasm. The current situation of MEERUT inspired us to work on education sector here as it is dire need. So we started NMMS training to government school kids in year 2018.We engage volunteers in many social activities and they find it joy be part of the seva. We have experienced volunteers to engaged in the Education system under the Mean Cum Merit Scholarship Trainning that provides scholarship to the underprivileged children of the government school. This provide a lot of help to these students because due to the money crisis or family pressure many students drop their further studies. Today, there are more than 20 schools in which scheduled NMMS training is provided by our volunteers. We come from the different sections of the society but form a team to work harmoniously for a cause. In North region, YFS Meerut is leading in NMMS training project, we support other chapters as well with our experience and learning. The result is also exciting since last two years. YFS MEERUT team is not only a active participator in every social cause which comes to light but also a organisor of new events like felicitation ceremony of first batch of NMMS, TFS team formation from same batch, awareness session about importance of education and about NMMS.

YFS MEERUT organize tree plantation, school kit distribution, enrichment session for volunteers, many one day activities, informal activities and inter school competitions. In 2019, MEERUT team was the first set of volunteers to volunteer in Kumbha 2k19 from YFS. We also join hands with other chapter to contribute from our side like recently in COVID-19 helpline support with YFS Delhi team our 28 volunteers engaged in volunteering. Yet it is just a beginning but journey is quiet beautiful.
