College Student Volunteering : Build
Skills While Building the Nation

University life is the perfect intersection of energy, time, and intellect. It is the time to ask big questions and solve big problems. At Youth for Seva (YFS), we believe that your education is incomplete without a connection to the community.

We offer structured College Student Volunteering programs that align with your academic schedules and career goals. This is not just about “doing good”; it is about building a professional portfolio that stands out. By tackling real-world challenges in Education, Health,
and the Environment, you gain the empathy and leadership acumen that modern employers value most.

Whether you are an engineering student looking to apply tech for social good, or a management student wanting to understand grassroots operations, YFS is your classroom beyond four walls.

Structured Opportunities for Future Leaders

We have moved beyond ad-hoc volunteering to create
rigorous pathways for student engagement.

NGO Internships for College Students

Theory is learned in the lecture hall; practice is learned in the field. Our NGO internships for college students are designed to be immersive learning experiences. Unlike typical internships where you might be sidelined, at YFS, you own your project.
Formats : Summer/Winter Internships (4-8 weeks) or Project-Based Semester
Internships.
Domains :

  • Marketing & Communications: Manage social media campaigns and content writing.
  • Tech for Good: Web development, data analysis, and app testing.
  • Field Operations: Conduct surveys, manage volunteer drives, and audit projects.
  • Fundraising: Learn the art of resource mobilization and donor management.

YFS Fellowship Program

For those ready to commit deeper, the YFS Fellowship program offers a transformative
journey. Targeted at final-year students and recent graduates, this is a long-term engagement (typically 100 weeks or 1-2 years) where you are placed in specific development projects. You will work closely with community leaders to drive sustainable change. This program is an incubator for social entrepreneurs and public policy aspirants.

Campus Ambassador Opportunities

Be the spark that lights the fire. We are looking for driven individuals to take up Campus
ambassador opportunities.
As a YFS Ambassador, you will be the face of the organization at your university.
â—Ź Your Role : Organize blood donation camps, recruit volunteers for weekend drives, and lead awareness campaigns on campus.
â—Ź Your Reward : You will receive a Leadership Certificate and a personalized Letter of
Recommendation (LOR) citing your management skills—a gold standard for future job
applications.

DATA VISUALIZATION – TRENDS

Youth for Seva’s strong focus is on encouraging college students to volunteer, and continue doing so beyond their campus presence. Volunteers get to choose how they want to spend their time through a variety of interesting projects on offer.

Objective
  • To sensitize college students in becoming positive change agents in the society.
  • To establish a working relationship with college management to facilitate a sustainable volunteering model for students.
  • To initiate YFS clubs in colleges where there are no community service clubs. To collaborate with existing social initiative clubs in others.
  • To identify and groom student coordinators to organize activities in colleges
  • To facilitate a system which can utilize mass of student volunteers and not merely individuals interested in volunteering.
