State Street Vidya Chetana Scholarship Program

The State Street Vidya Chetana Scholarship programs are offered through a partnership between State Street—one of the world’s leading financial services firms—and Vidya Chetana, an initiative of Youth for Seva designed to provide educational support to students from low-income backgrounds.
The collaboration between State Street and Youth for Seva (YFS) represents a paradigm shift in how we approach educational support. We believe that while financial aid is the foundation, true empowerment requires a sturdy structure built on guidance and opportunity.
Through this strategic partnership, scholarship recipients receive far more than just monetary relief; they unlock access to the collective expertise, vast resources, and professional networks of two powerful entities. State Street’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) synergizes perfectly with YFS’s grassroots reach, creating a holistic ecosystem where corporate professionals actively engage in the development of these students through mentorship and skill-building workshops.
This comprehensive approach ensures that capable students, who might otherwise be forced to abandon their education due to economic constraints, are given meaningful, 360-degree support. We don’t just pay tuition fees; we invest in futures. By bridging the gap between academic potential and employability, we equip these young scholars with the soft skills, career counseling, and industry exposure necessary to thrive in the modern workforce.
This initiative is about more than just graduation; it is about enabling underprivileged youth to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their ambitious academic and career goals. Together, State Street and Youth for Seva are nurturing a new generation of confident, skilled, and self-reliant citizens who will eventually give back to the society that supported them.
