Youth for Seva is an ngo that was established in 2007 to enable youth volunteering in India. The organization was founded in Bengaluru by Sri Venkatesh Murthy ji, who recognized the need for effective volunteering organizations in India.
At YFS, we believe in the huge potential that our youth possess in enabling change. This has allowed us to engage large groups of people in having a positive impact on society.

Over the past 18 years, we have expanded our horizons to reach over 36 lakh beneficiaries and engage over 2.46 lakh people in social impact volunteering across 12,453 seva kendras in India.
Our goal has been to provide meaningful volunteering opportunities in India to people from all walks of life.
Youth for Seva’s focus areas have also grown to include education, healthcare, environment, livelihood, and rural development, making us one of the most diverse volunteering organizations in India.

On March 7th, 2026, the Youth for Seva Mysore Chapter hosted a beautiful afternoon of gratitude and recognition at BSS Vidyodaya School. The event was a wonderful occasion to celebrate the heartbeat of our organization—our dedicated changemakers!
We proudly felicitated and distributed certificates to our incredible Chiguru Volunteers, Seva Mitras, Seva Preraks, and Seva Sadhaks. Special mementos were also presented to the Chiguru Core Team and our Mysore Steering Committee members in recognition of their unwavering dedication and leadership. 🏆
