The following are some of the activities that can be undertaken at St.Martha’s Hospital:
1. St.Martha’s Volunteers Auxillary : A group of active volunteers to man ‘May I Help You’ desks in the hospital , and help guide patients at the hospital as it is a wide campus. We would require volunteers to help plan and execute as this is a novel project.
2. Eco-Spirituality Drive : ‘Worshipping God through his Creations’ . Preparation of ‘Green-Serenity Corners’ at the hospital. Preparation of themed areas at the hospital to promote religious harmony , peace and tranquillity. Use of Music, light, art as a form of health and healing promotion, promoting a NO-Plastic bag Drive, manning a gift shop of ECO-FRIENDLY gifts.
3. The I-Shine Project’s Patient Support System : A volunteer group that aids patients at the Department of physiotherapy department with their rehab. We also would like to establish a networking agency to link poor patients to get funds, jobs and legal aid.
4. Good Health Drive : Audio-Visual Drive to promote Good health and Hygiene, PLUS disease related information Help desk. A lot of creative people are required in this sector.
5. Cheers for Children Project : working for the children at the hospital . a) children who are patients. b) Children of admitted patients c) Children of workers at the hospital ( creation of a day care centre). Running a christmas fete for fund-raising for poor children fund.
These and more are the various areas that we can work with. We would love to have older, as well as youngsters to participate. We require people both at the organisational level as well and active working level.
