Doctors for Seva is a project of Youth for Seva, an NGO which has been in existence since April 2007. It comprises a team of Doctors and Medical Professionals across Bangalore who have voluntarily come forward to provide free, quality health services to people from financially backward sections of the society.
With the help of Doctors for Seva and our present network of schools/slums, we plan to reach out to those in need and improve the existing health conditions in these areas. Ultimately, we will give each school (we deal in around 80 different schools in Bangalore) access to at least one nearest Doctor For Seva where the children can be directed as and when need arises.
Visit the Doctors for Seva website to view the latest events for which you can volunteer and to read about our previous initiatives.

Here are some ways in which a Doctor For Seva can contribute:
For Child Health – This will be done through our existing network of goverenment schools and tution centres where volunteers work.
1. Conducting Health Check ups (General, Dental, Eye) in schools / slums for children
2. Providing easy & cost-effective access to Speciality Treatments as and when need arises, as a follow up of the health checkup.
3. Conducting Health Awareness Programs
4. Examining children from schools/slums as and when need arises. For this, we will give each child a Health Card with details of their nearest Doctor For Seva. Through this card, we will also monitor the general health of that child.
